WORLD / OPEN SOURCE
Open source needs provenance as much as access.
Readable source is only one part of responsible reuse.

The question
ENET's starter and educational companion use the MIT license with JTWAYNE attribution. Reusing the code requires retaining its notices. Dependencies carry their own terms, and private member programs are not automatically part of that license.
How it relates to SKIENET
A source archive should make authorship and version visible. A dependency list helps reviewers understand which pieces came from elsewhere. Public availability alone does not show that a project has permission to redistribute every included asset.
An experiment to try
Before sharing a modified package, inspect its files and remove secrets, private records and unnecessary generated output. Include the license and explain what changed. Test the example programs against the packaged implementation.
Limits and next steps
A future package ecosystem needs clear publishing rules and review processes. Trust is built through consistent source, documented rights and reproducible behavior, not by attaching an open-source label to unrelated paid releases.
